Description

Elettaria cardamomum AKA True Cardamom is an herbaceous perennial with lush, bright green foliage on cane-like stalks. It’s foliage has a spicy-sweet fragrance, similar to the aroma produced by it’s fruit which is where the cardamom spice comes from. It typically only flowers in tropical climates, so it’s grown as a tender perennial or houseplant in temperate climates.

Cardamom adds a nice tropical touch to containers and patio planters or grown indoors as a houseplant. Thrives in hot, moist environments. Plant in a well-drained, loamy soil.
