The Nitty Gritty: Plant FAQS

  • What sizes are your plants? We grow our finished plants in 2″, 3.5″, 4.5″ square and round plastic pots, depending on the plant needs. We also grow plugs.
  • Are your plants hardened off for colder zones? Yes! We cold grow our garden plants so they are ready to plant outdoors.
  • Does Little Prince offer pre-tagging? Yes. We offer a sticker on the pot with your Garden Center name and retail price.  This requires SKU setup in our system.
  • How much does it cost to pre-tag? Tags are $0.26 cents per tag.
  • Can you do a custom grow if I want something special? You bet! We have a three tray minimum for custom grows.
  • Can I prebook for the next season? Yes! We are happy to get you a list.

Whether you’re selling shrubs in Portland or Seattle, or catering to houseplant collectors in Long Island, we’ll hook you up. We offer delivery to the Portland metro area on Tuesdays and Fridays, Salem on Wednesdays, and the Seattle metro Wednesday through Friday, depending on routing. For the lower 48 states, we ship using common carrier.

Garden Center Plant Shipping FAQS

  • What are the shipping costs? For customers in our delivery area, we charge a flat fee depending on location. For customers outside our fleet delivery area we simply charge whatever is charged to us.
  • How do you pack plants for shipping? In wooden pallets racks with cardboard boxes or flats
  • How long does it take for plants to be shipped? We can ship within a week.
  • Which carrier does Little Prince use for shipping? For California or local deliveries outside of our normal fleet area we use Oak Harbor. For deliveries farther away we typically use FedEx freight.
  • Do you allow in-person pickup for wholesale customers? Yes. Please call ahead.
