Eucomis ‘Sparkling Burgundy’ features dark burgundy, strap-shaped leaves which gradually turn green as the flowers fade, then turn burgundy again. Thick maroon stems display maroon buds that open to pink, lupine-like flowers.
Best in rich, well-drained soil. Plant Pineapple Lily in cottage or meadow gardens, or in containers. Loved also for their long lasting cut flowers. Bulbs can be lifted and saved for next year.
