Description
Dierama hybrid ‘Dark Violet’, commonly called Angel’s Fishing Rod, is an evergreen, clumping perennial with narrow grasslike foliage and spectacular dark purple bell flowers dangling on tall, arching flower stems. This Summer bloomer prefers well-drained, dry sites.
Establish your Angel’s Fishing Rod in well-draining soil, with occasional watering. The evergreen, grasslike foliage should not be pruned back, but only selectively trimmed to remove the yellowing leaves. Lightly fertilize in early Spring. Do not disturb the roots.
