Description
Arisaema speciosum, also called Giant Himalayan Jack-in-the-pulpit, features tall, upright, patterned stems that emerge late Spring to unfurl a single 3-part umbrella leaf. Displays a short stalk with a unique maroon, Jack-in-the-pulpit flower with white striping up the hood and a long twisted tail. This tuberous, herbaceous perennial has a colony forming habit.
Giant Himalayan Jack-in-the-pulpit thrives in humus rich, moist, well-drained soil. Perfect for naturalizing in woodland gardens or planted in raised beds or containers, where the flowers can be enjoyed.
