Agave parryi – Parry Century Plant, Artichoke Agave (4.5″ Pot)

Agave parryi is a compact, medium sized agave with rosettes of gray-green leaves and black spikes and tips. This agave is the parent for many subspecies, like Agave parryi ssp. parryi, Agave parryi ssp huachucensis, and Agave parryi ssp. truncata.

A slow growing, drought tolerant plant that is great in landscapes and containers or can adapt as a houseplant. Provide a well drained soil away from reflected heat. Once established, water infrequently during the hot season.

Be careful when handling this plant! The Parry Century Plant has extremely sharp  spines at the leaf tips!
