Philodendron ‘Splendid’ – Hybrid Philodendron (4.5″ Pot)

Philodendron ‘Splendid’ is a gorgeous hybrid variety that features large, elongated heart-shaped leaves that are deep green (almost black) with lime green veining. It even has a lovely, velvety texture. Philodendron ‘Splendid’ is a vining, epiphytic tropical, and can be trained up a pole or trellis. This variety was made by crossing Philodendron melanochrysum with Philodendron verrucosum.

Makes a great houseplant! It is best grown in fertile, organic, acidic soil that is moist but never waterlogged. Allow the soil to mostly dry out between waterings. Fertilize monthly, more frequently in containers, and water regularly. Philodendron prefer bright, indoor light but do not take well to direct sunlight. Protect from freezing temperatures!
