Description
Calathea veitchiana (Medallion) is a showy tropical displaying oval leaves with brilliant, feathered patterns in layers of deep green, lime green and cream white. The leaf undersides are a lovely burgundy color, adding even more interest. Grows with an upright, clumping habit. This plant makes an interesting accent for shady containers.
Calatheas grow best in an evenly moist, well-drained soil. Feed with a slow-release fertilizer at planting. Beautiful accent for borders, containers or as houseplants. Protect from frost!
