Description
Begonia emeiensis is a wonderful Begonia species from the slopes of Mt. Emei in China. This upright, mounding variety features green, heart-shaped leaves growing on 1′ tall petioles. Displays lovely pink flowers with yellow stamens above the foliage.
Begonias grow best in well-drained, humus-rich soil with moderate water. They prefer high humidity and indirect sunlight. Apply a slow-release fertilizer sparingly in spring. Beautiful accent plant for borders and containers. Makes an excellent houseplant! Protect from cold temperatures!
