Description
Asclepias tuberosa, commonly called Butterfly Weed, is a great perennial plant with clusters of bright orange flowers blooming on an upright, shrubby plant. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Monarch butterflies depend on this plant for food.
Makes an excellent cut flower in a floral arrangement. Easily grown in any well-drained soil. Good in mixed borders, mass plantings or containers. Drought tolerant once established.
