Description
Anisocampium sheareri, also called Shearer’s Paint Fern or Merlot Fern, features pinnate, toothed fronds on dark purple stems. There are two types of fronds: infertile ones growing lower, and longer stemmed, fertile fronds standing above.
Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil. Excellent for mass plantings, rock gardens, containers, in woodlands and naturalized landscapes.
