Philodendron hastatum – Silver Sword Philodendron (4.5″ Pot)

Philodendron hastatum, the Silver Sword Philodendron, is a aroid tropical native to Brazil. It features long, glossy, sword-shaped foliage with a lovely, silvery blue-green color. The foliage practically glistens when catching light. Silver Sword Philodendron grows in an upright clump with leaves that radiate out from the center. It can mature to 10 feet in warm climates outdoors, but is more commonly grown indoors, where they tend to max out around 6 feet.

Makes a great houseplant! It is best grown in fertile, organic, acidic soil that is moist but never waterlogged. Allow the soil to mostly dry out between waterings. Fertilize monthly, more frequently in containers, and water regularly. Philodendron prefer bright, indoor light but do not take well to direct sunlight. Protect from freezing temperatures!
