Asclepias physocarpus, also called Balloon Plant, is an upright, branching garden perennial. Small clusters of white, vanilla-scented flowers appear in Summer, followed by unusual, hairy, pale yellow-green fruit.
Makes an excellent cut flower in a floral arrangement. Easily grown in any well-drained soil. Good in mixed borders, mass plantings or containers. Drought tolerant once established.
