Description
Native to Madagascar, this succulent plant features large green, ear-like leaves covered in dark maroon to brown spots. Displays clusters of salmon-colored, tubular flowers on tall stalks. The ovate-lanceolate leaves reach a substantial size, up to 20″ long, eventually hanging down from their own weight. Kalanchoe are low maintenance, and require little water once established. Provide a well-drained soil away from reflected heat. Ideal in warm climate landscapes and container gardens, but is especially happy sitting on your windowsill as a houseplant.
