Description
Agave applanata eventually forms large, symmetrical rosettes of broad, silver-blue leaves with black thorns along the leaf edges. Protect roots from standing water during the winter.
Agaves are drought tolerant perennials that require slightly alkaline, loose, well-drained soil. Adds bold form and color in the landscape.
Be careful when handling this plant! Agave applanata has extremely sharp leaf tips!
