Description
Arctostaphylos ‘John Dourley’ is a compact, spreading evergreen shrub that provides multiple seasons of interest. The leathery blue-green leaves take on a bronzy blush in spring. Clusters of light pink, bell-shaped flowers mature to crimson berries that attract songbirds. Native plant of the Pacific Northwest.
Manzanita can be suitable groudcover for dry, sandy soils. Best growth occurs in acid soils. Excellent for edging and rock gardens.
