Description
Hosta ‘Fire Island’ features bright gold, wavy springtime leaves that contrast nicely with the striking red stems. Leaves turn an attractive chartreuse in summer, accompanied by lavender flowers.
Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils. A good partner for ferns. Although the flowers are attractive, Hostas, also called Plantain Lilies, are usually grown for their ornamental foliage.
