Dryopteris erythrosora is a spreading fern named for its autumnal-colored new growth in the spring. Curled young fronds are coppery-pink, then bronze tinted, and finally deep green. Semi-evergreen. Deer resistant.
Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil. Autumn Fern is excellent for mass plantings, rock gardens, containers, in woodlands, and naturalized landscapes.
