Description

Mitchella repens, or Partridge Berry, is a low, mat-forming evergreen perennial displays glossy, dark green foliage and fragrant, white flowers. Red berries that ripen in late summer are edible, but rather flavorless.

Likes any well-drained soil. This low growing, woodland plant will form a trailing mat of foliage and is a good selection for rock walls and containers.
