Begonia chloroneura (4.5″ Pot)

$22.99

Begonia chloroneura is an eye-catching variety of Begonia featuring brownish purple, elliptical leaves with chartreuse veining and red undersides. This plant is electric! The leaves emerge covered in bright red hairs that give them a fuzzy look. As they mature, the red hairs retreat to the leaf edges. Displays pale pink flowers above the foliage.

Begonias grow best in well-drained, humus-rich soil with moderate water. They prefer high humidity and indirect sunlight. Apply a slow-release fertilizer sparingly in spring. This makes a beautiful accent plant for a border or container, but is primarily used as a houseplant. Even works as a terrarium specimen. Protect from freezing temperatures!
