Description
A former Hosta of the Year winner, this impressive variety has huge, chartreuse-green, rounded leaves. Hosta ‘Sum and Substance’ displays tall stalks of pale lavender flowers.
Hostas, also called Plantain Lilies, grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils. A good partner for ferns. Although the flowers are attractive, Hostas are usually grown for their ornamental foliage.
