Description
A hosta recommendation from the captain of the Enterprise. Boldly go where no gardener has gone before! Hosta ‘Captain Kirk’ displays showy variegated leaves with golden centers and broad blue green margins. An attractive mounded perennial with stalks of pale lavender flowers in summer.
Hostas, also called Plantain Lilies, grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils. A good partner for ferns. Although the flowers are attractive, Hostas are usually grown for their ornamental foliage.
